Hey everyone, it’s Jeremy Ochsner from Ochsner Insurance, and welcome to another edition of the one-take Jeremy’s Journal. This is a two-week runner, and there’s a lot to cover, so let’s dive in.
Welcoming Our Virtual Employee
At the end of September, we finally welcomed Joel, our new virtual employee, to the Ochsner Insurance team. His first day was fantastic—he’s already showing great promise, and we’re excited to work with him every day. Although Joel and I both came down with illness shortly after his start, and he was out through the Labor Day holiday, we’re confident he’s going to bring a high level of value and integrity to our team. We’re looking forward to seeing all he’ll contribute in the coming months!
Launching Our Insurance Agent App
We’re thrilled to announce the launch of our new Insurance Agent App! By now, you’ve likely received an email or text message about it, and we’re eager to hear what our clients think.
We took our time in the discovery process, researching the best app developers, and we believe we hit a home run with this one. The app includes access to policy data, ID cards, and even lets you file claims with photos attached. It’s all about making things easier for our clients, and the app works on Apple, Android, and desktop computers. Whether you’re using your phone, tablet, or computer, it’s available anytime and anywhere. We’re excited to get feedback and see how it improves the client experience.
A Personal Reflection: The Loss of My Father
Friday, September 30th, is a day I’ll never forget. On that day, my father, who had been battling dementia, passed away. He was someone who had a tremendous impact on my life and my businesses. It’s hard to put into words how much he meant to me, but we find peace in knowing that he is now in heaven, free from the struggles of his illness. Our faith in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior brings us comfort during this time.
As we’ve been handling arrangements and spending time together as a family, I’ve been reflecting on how much my father shaped the way I approach life and work. He always served with a smile, went the extra mile, and led with integrity. To honor his legacy, we will be introducing an award in his name at Ochsner Insurance, given to an employee who embodies those same qualities—serving with a smile and always giving their best.
Looking Ahead
The short week following Labor Day was understandably less focused on calls and business as we worked through everything going on. And you know what? I’ve come to terms with it. Sometimes, there are more important things happening than business as usual.
Thank you for your continued support and understanding during this time. I’ll be back with more updates soon, but for now, this is where we’re at.
Here’s to growth, resilience, and continuing to serve you with excellence.
